GPT Image 2 Image Generator

Create AI images with GPT Image 2, use a reference image for revisions, and choose supported resolutions. Explore prompt structure and review credits before generating.

Create from a description or a reference

Use GPT Image 2 in MyImage to start an image from text or revise a reference image. The generator link on this page selects GPT Image 2 for your next creation. Generating requires JavaScript, a signed-in account, and sufficient credits; you can read this guide without signing in.

For a new image, describe the subject before the style. For editing, upload an image you have permission to use and explain which details should stay. The workspace supports 1K, 2K, and 4K settings for this model; review the available aspect ratios and the credit quote before submitting.

A prompt for a layout with text

Try this starting brief for an event announcement:

A clean editorial poster for a community ceramics workshop. A single handmade blue bowl in the lower half, warm off-white background, soft side lighting, and generous margins. Place the short headline "Clay Saturday" at the top. No other writing or logos.

Check every letter, the bowl silhouette, and the spacing in the generated result. If precise typography is essential, generate the artwork with an empty headline area and add the final text in your design editor. This example is a writing exercise, not a tested output or a guarantee of exact lettering.

Revise one decision at a time

Keep the same model and resolution while comparing prompts. First adjust the arrangement, then the lighting, then any surface detail. For an existing output, choose its editing action and describe one change, such as moving the bowl to the lower left while keeping its color.

Read the reference-image editing guide for a repeatable revision workflow. Each new generation can consume credits. Save the versions you want to compare before starting another request.

Compare models and find inspiration

The model comparison shows current per-image credit charges. The GPT Image prompt guide explains how to adapt gallery examples; gallery entries are grouped by source family and are not necessarily generated with this exact model version.

For a complete first session, follow the getting-started tutorial. Download important results: generated artwork is retained online for up to 14 days.
